Our Music Mission

A mission at St. Paul's is Growing Our Numbers in Christ through Sound.

This mission began as a way to connect with our community of Angelica through musical performances as part of the Park Circle Music Festival. As we realized the potential to increase our numbers and bring people into the church for the enjoyment of music, we also knew that much work was needed to bring our own pipe organ back to life. Thus, the vision, the fundraising effort and the music performances were born.

When the pandemic put an end to our in-person services and music performances, our partnership with the local lpfm station began. Since then we have worked closely to bring the word of God to people every Sunday morning at 9:00 am on www.wraq.org.

Through our efforts with the radio station and a continued effort to produce live, concert performances we are

Growing Our Numbers in Christ through Sound.

In 2022, we applied for and received a New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) re-grant of $4000 for 4 concerts to be held from September, 2022 through September, 2023. We kicked off our concert series with a fantastic performance by violinist, David Peralta; guest violinist, Andrea Peralta; and pianist, Amanda Robbins. Our Christmas Concert featured the 1887 Tracker Pipe Organ, brought to life by organist Timothy Smith. Programs for each of the concerts are linked below.

After the terrific feedback and requests for a return of our performers, we brought back David Peralta on June 30, 2023 and Timothy Smith on August 4, 2023. Each concert was followed by a reception with an opportunity to meet the performers. We will continue to plan concerts and community functions, please watch this page for upcoming events!
